Do you think about having a Snickers® bar right now? Why don't you go and work out instead? Sounds crazy? I know, but a recent study from the School of Physical Education at the faculty for Sport and Exercise Sciences of the University of Otago
says: "Dosing exercise as brief, intense ‘exercise snacks’ before main
meals is a time-efficient and effective approach to improve glycaemic
control in individuals with insulin resistance." (Francois. 2014)



Now the obvious questions are (1) what exactly is a "brief, intense
exercise snack" and (2) what can you expect from having it before a
meal?
